The Centre for Indian Music Experience will be a vibrant music epicenter, which celebrates India’s unity in spirit and diversity in creative expression, through which people can rediscover their connections to the living tradition that is Indian music.

The Mission

The IME, a non-profit organization, will be dedicated to the advancement of understanding and appreciation of Indian music from the traditional to the contemporary. The IME will bring together the best expertise to create an experience that engages, educates and entertains the participant, through exhibits, learning activities and performances to create a deeper emotional connection with music.

While a traditional 'collection based' museum encapsulates the idea that the soul of a museum is its collection and therein lies its identity, an experiential museum represents the idea that the visitor is central and the museum's role is that of a catalyst in an intensely personal and transformational experience.
