It’s time to explore the music of the world! At IME, we believe in celebrating the diversity of music and have adopted the theme of “Stories and Songs from Around the World” for this year’s summer camp. Each one-hour session will feature one language, with 40 minutes of learning songs and 20 minutes of storytelling. You don’t want to miss this!

The Travelling Lives of Songs
Join us for an engaging session in collaboration with the Museum of Art and Photography, featuring documentary filmmaker Surabhi Sharma (director of Bidesia in Bambai and Jahaji Music), Namita Waikar (from the Grindmill Songs Project) and Shruthi Veena Vishwanath (whose work celebrates mystic musical traditions), in conversation with Manasi Prasad, our museum director. We will be examining the cultural and political significance of different musical traditions and how they transverse over time.
